Are there restrictions on the number of people allowed into Bennelong?
Bennelong will adhere to a maximum capacity of one person per four square metres in line with NSW Government requirements.
There will also be a maximum of 10 guests per booking and table.
Do I need to make a booking in advance?
Yes, bookings for dining at Bennelong are essential. Please call 02 9240 8000 or book via our website.
Is wearing a mask compulsory?
It is strongly recommended you wear a face mask across the precinct when 1.5 metres physical distancing cannot be easily maintained.
Please be aware that some members of the community may have issues with wearing masks due to health conditions. We ask that you be respectful to others as reasons for not wearing a mask are not always obvious.
Will the Opera House or Bennelong be taking temperature checks?
In line with current NSW Government heath advice, the Opera House and Bennelong will not be carrying out temperature checks on visitors.
What happens if I’m feeling unwell or displaying symptoms prior to arrival and I need to cancel?
It is vitally important that you stay home if you feel unwell and/or are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, including a cough, fever, sore throat, and/or runny nose.

Should you cancel your reservation within 72 hours of the arrival time, or fail to arrive for the booking, your payment will become non-refundable. Please contact the venue as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Will Bennelong be taking cashless payments?
Cashless payment will be provided to enable guests to remain seated.
Is Bennelong Ensembles wheelchair friendly?
Yes, Bennelong is wheelchair friendly, with lift access into The House Seats, The Gallery and The Circle.
Do you cater for gluten/nut/other allergies?
Bennelong can cater for all dietary requirements with advanced notice. Please advise your dietary requirements when making your reservation.
Can I use my Bennelong or Sydney Opera House gift voucher?
Bennelong and Sydney Opera House gift vouchers cannot be used to purchase your Ensemble Ticket, however they can be redeemed to purchase additional beverages during the performance.
How do I get to the Sydney Opera House? And how do I find Bennelong?
The Opera House Wilson car park is open and operating. Where practical, we encourage patrons to use private transport options to minimise crowding on public transport. If you need to use public transport, please follow the travel advice from Transport NSW.
